As the proud owner of a net positive solar home in Kennebunk, I applaud Rep. Stedman Seavey’s support of solar bill LD #1371, An Act to Protect and Expand Access to Solar Power in Maine. The right way to maintain the electric grid is not to discourage the use of solar and other promising energy technologies. Stedman Seavey’s welcome leadership on solar policy comes at a critical time following the Public Utilities Commission’s new extreme anti-solar rule, which threatens jobs, stifles economic growth and keeps energy prices unnecessarily inflated. I am counting on Mr. Seavey to stay involved and continue to lend his support as we move forward.
